Utterly Butterly Delicious - Pav Bhaji @ SARDAR's

If one has to land up eating delicious Pav Bhaji the first name that pops out in my mind and on my taste buds is SARDAR. To have a sumptuous and mouth watering butterly pav bhaji.. ask anyone and they'll suggest this in Mumbai. Situated in Tardeo, quite near to Mumbai central station .. this place is easy to locate; you can ask anyone nearby and they'll tell you.

Upon hearing a lot of praise for our staple junk food 'Pav Bhaji', I landed up at Sardar to relish the same. There was a long queue which resulted in whetting up our appetites even more - after all if something was so popular, it must be good, right?

It gets crowdy on the weekends but manageable. At Max.. a wait of 20-25 mins will be there. As soon as we entered , order was obvious.. Pav bhaji with 2 extra pavs each after an interval of 10 mins and watermelon juice. It took 15-20 mins for them to prepare it but it arrived in full fervour with steam blowing off the bhaji; a slice of butter over it and pav dipped in butter. The color of the bhaji and uncountable calories of butter floating onto it is something to jump on and multiplies the tempt to consume. To be very precise, the pav which comes along is some bread in the pond of butter. the scene very much resembles to the one in which u may dip a napkin in water and take it out immediately, same is done with the pav dipped in butter. All those who are calorie conscious, shall have to walk to go home walking for around 40-50 kms to lose them again. Then came watermelon juice in big mugs.I felt like a king, there was nothing which came in normal quantities and sizes. The very sight of it was eye pleasing. The taste no doubt was very good and delicious with uninterrupted supply of onion n lemon. Juice complemented the food and enhanced the taste manifold.

Overall, the food experience was the commuting pain.

Whenever you are nearby Mumbai central, pay a visit to this place offering meals and butter in king-sizes ;)
